A dimensionality paradigm for surface interrogations
نویسنده
چکیده
We propose a paradigm for analyzing problems involving complex curved surfaces in a manner suit.able for practical implementation. Rather than deriving closed-form expressions for certain surfaces and problems, we propose to reformulate the problem in a higher dimensional space with more variables but simpler equations, thus avoiding complex symbolic manipulation and numerically delicate operations.

Interrogations and Their Secondary Purposes in Saadi\'s Ghazals
According to experts in rhetoric, Interrogation refers to asking about a thing which is unknown to the speaker and aims at knowing something; they mention, however, that these statements deviate from their real purposes sometimes and refer to some other secondary meanings. Writers have mentioned more or less different secondary purposes mainly based on the Quran. More recent writers have also p...
متن کاملAlgebraic Loop Detection and Evaluation Algorithms for Curve and Surface Interrogations
Evaluating curves on surfaces is a frequently occurring operation in a number of applications involving surface interrogations For example evaluating the intersection curve of two surfaces is critical to boundary B rep computation and in applications involving visibility and rendering the ability to evaluate the silhouette curve of surfaces is important While dealing with high degree surfaces t...
متن کامل2D Dimensionality Reduction Methods without Loss
In this paper, several two-dimensional extensions of principal component analysis (PCA) and linear discriminant analysis (LDA) techniques has been applied in a lossless dimensionality reduction framework, for face recognition application. In this framework, the benefits of dimensionality reduction were used to improve the performance of its predictive model, which was a support vector machine (...
متن کاملWiener Way to Dimensionality
This note introduces a new general conjecture correlating the dimensionality dT of an infinite lattice with N nodes to the asymptotic value of its Wiener Index W(N). In the limit of large N the general asymptotic behavior W(N)≈Ns is proposed, where the exponent s and dT are related by the conjectured formula s=2+1/dT allowing a new definition of dimensionality dW=(s-2)-1. Being related to the t...
متن کاملA Monte Carlo-Based Search Strategy for Dimensionality Reduction in Performance Tuning Parameters
Redundant and irrelevant features in high dimensional data increase the complexity in underlying mathematical models. It is necessary to conduct pre-processing steps that search for the most relevant features in order to reduce the dimensionality of the data. This study made use of a meta-heuristic search approach which uses lightweight random simulations to balance between the exploitation of ...
